Cambridge - Police are searching for a Brookline man who allegedly shot and killed his co-worker at a pool supply company building in West Cambridge Wednesday morning.
Police are looking for Clyde Howard, 65, of Brookline, according to Cambridge Police spokesman Frank Pasquarello, who was last seen driving a white ford Econoline van with Mass. registration 89PE40. Pasquarello said the van has one front broken window with blue cardboard in the window.
The victim, an 35-year-old employee at the company, was shot in the warehouse at Baystate Pools at 26 Smith Place Wednesday morning at around 10, according to police spokesman Frank Pasquarello.
Pasquarello identified the victim as Maurice Ricketts, a Malden man who was also an employee at the pool supply company.
According to Pasquarello, Howard and Ricketts had engaged in a "verbal discussion," before Howard pulled a black firearm and fired several shots at the victim. Approximately an hour later, Ricketts was pronounced dead at Beth Israel.
