Victor Rosario, who managed to beat a man to death despite being shot in the chest himself, today pleaded guilty to the April 23, 2007 death of Frank Dillon on Marion Street in East Boston, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office announced.
Rosario was sentenced to eight to ten at MCI Cedar Junction.
According to the DA's office:
Had the case proceeded to trial, Assistant District Attorney David Fredette would have introduced evidence and testimony to prove that Dillon, Rosario, and an unidentified third party became engaged in a violent, armed altercation at 44 Marion St. In the course of that altercation, Rosario sustained a gunshot wound to his chest.
Boston Police who responded to Marion Street found Dillon on the sidewalk and Rosario on top of a car, with both men suffering from serious injuries. A broken meat cleaver, a handgun, and several beer bottles were recovered from the area; a baseball bat stained with Dillon's blood was recovered from Rosario's apartment.
Dillon died several days later from his injuries.
