Sleazy thug gets life for murdering Bible-studying cabbie
from Boston Crime Universal Hub by adamg
A Suffolk Superior Court jury today convicted Cleveland "Sleazy" Martin of first-degree murder for the death of Brookline cabbie Heureur Previlon in 2005, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Prosecutors successfully made the case that Martin and Jashawn Robinson - who is still awaiting trial - killed Previlon for his fare money on Aug. 25, 2005. The two made a point of calling a Brookline cab for a trip from Cleveland Circle to Monestery Road because they knew Brookline cabs did not have a partition between the passenger and driver's seats, unlike Boston cabs - and brought kitchen knives wrapped in alumnium foil so as not to leave fingerprints
